I have been going to this practice for over a decade, consistently arriving ahead of my scheduled time but also consistently waiting 40min to over an hour to see the doctor for what is on average a 10min appointment. On my last appointment due to a mix up in time, I arrived 5 mins past the 15 minutes grace period. I was told that nor the other doctor or anyone else would be able to see me due to that and the only other available time later on the same day, did not fit my schedule. So I had to reschedule it for the next day. During the rescheduling process when I told the receptionist that I going forward I would also expect the doctor to see me within the 15min grace period, I was told that I needed to give the doctors an hour or so grace period. So now I ask, what makes their time more valuable than mine? Why am I obliged to give them an hour or so of grace period when they only give me 15min? I am not asking for preferential treatment, what I am asking is for my doctor to treat me the same way as I am obliged to treat them. And if they can’t, perhaps they should not be asking that of their patients. I believe that good relationships should be reciprocal in nature. And what I experienced today at this practice was far from it and that’s my true disappointment with today’s visit.

The local perspective.
I made an appointment for biote hormone replacement therapy (a pellet). And its a key fact that I now live 6 hours away but in the past this office was always good about appointments, even after I left the area. And admittedly it has been a while since I have been to their office but I did my due diligence when making the appointment. Considering that I have probably had 30+ procedures of this same type in this office, I made sure I told them I had recent labs, had the previous labs, and further explained current heath history...basically everything they would need to know to make the appointment a success. The tech scheduling my appointment put me on hold 3 separate times ostensibly to confirm that she could make the appointment for the actual procedure to be performed. BUT, office staff waited until I had taken time off work, driven 6 hours, and spent money on a hotel to tell me they couldn't do the procedure because I needed to have a consult first...despite having had 30+ procedures of this type IN this office. It should also be noted this is an out-of-pocket procedure. Because I was also told that it would require payment for 2 appointments a "consult" and the "procedure" if and only if I "carried in" additional paperwork and lab results that considering I came from 6 hours away would not be readily available. Other patients of this office warned me that the quality and service of this practice had waned and now I can attest to that.
The staff is very professional. The doctors are extremely knowledgeable and will listen to all your needs. There is no rushing the patient's to get them out. A great place to take care of your medical needs.
These guys are the best of the best. All of the providers are excellent and the receptionists know what they’re doing. Being a college student it’s always difficult to fit in my appointments while I’m home, but I never have that issue here. I’ve been coming here for years and can confidently say that I’ve never had an issue other than maybe a slightly longer than ideal wait time, but even then, I blame difficult patients for that problem.
I have been in Austin for 6 years and it took me several doctors before I found Nicole. She is amazing. The issue I have, I have left v/m for medical assistant and never get a call back. I spoke with someone yesterday and I was informed I would receive a call back. (yesterday early AM) and today, still no call. Use the portal, it is really a pain. I've cancelled appts through the portal and then I'm told I need to pay a no show fee of $75. That was corrected. There has to be an easier way to reach/go through portal. Again, Nicole is amazing and I plan on staying, but their communication services are horrible.
