I am searching for a new PCP for my annual physical as I relocated from FL to TX, and Dr. Carolyn Rubi came up on my United Healthcare app (I am insured). The app mentioned that she is accepting new patients so I called the number listed, which is an 800 number that connects you to Amazon’s One Medical customer service. The representative mentioned that she currently has a waitlist for new patients, but that I am not able to schedule an appt or be added to the waitlist unless I have an Amazon One medical membership…which is an additional $130 a year out of pocket. Really hoping the representative was mistaken, as I do not understand why my insurance would have this provided listed if there is this membership required to even be scheduled. Will be sharing this with my insurance as well for their own investigation.

They have a really nice facility and their availability seems to be wide open... you can make a same day appointment without issue. I'm between doctors and found this place online. They're owned by Amazon and you speak to a customer service line (like a bank or insurance company) rather than a front desk like a normal doctors office. This is a good place for a quick annual physical or if you have a minor cold. If you're looking for a doctor to discuss anything other than a mild cold or flu, you should find a more traditional family doctor. This establishment is more of a drive thru medical facility for quick fixes and remedies for common colds or very basic illnesses. Dr Kayla Barry was nice, but treats this practice as a quick in and out visit... I'd recommend this place for just that. Its cheaper than urgent care and their availability is great. The Doctor seemed annoyed if you have any questions or seeking medical advise otherthan the basic stuff, but like I said, this place is a quick in and out facility for common colds and easy stuff. I gave a 2 star review because it was advertised as your traditional doctors office online when I called, but that really isnt the case. I hope this review helps people looking for a doctor. Great for quick visits over colds and basic illnesses, but not a place I'd use as a primary doctor.
Dr. Rubi and Christina were both so kind and professional during my visit. Dr. Rubi took the time to listen and made me feel completely comfortable, and Christina was gentle and friendly during my blood draw. Such a great experience from start to finish. I highly recommend!
Some office staff extremely condescending and rude. One Medical as a whole is actually anything but. It appears that now their offices are fragmented and are not related to each other when it comes to insurance coverage. Medicare Advantage plans now not accepted in Dallas but are in Houston. I asked for something in writing so I could document. Julissa refused, became defensive, condescending and we ended the call. I've been a patient since 2024 and some of what she passed off to me regarding when coverage changed was vague and did not make since.
It was my first visit to One Medical Primary Care. It was one of the best experience I had in any Primary Care Clinic. Clean spic-n-span place, prompt service, easy check-in, very attentive doctor (Dr. Rubi Carolyn), painless blood work, easy check-out. Thanks to everyone in the Clinic. Keep up the good work!!
