If I could give 10 stars I would! I’m a new patient of Dr. Cox. Had a great experience with him today! He fully listened to all of my concerns, made helpful and informative recommendations and has created a treatment plan for me that is very thorough. I highly recommend Dr. Cox and his practice! Also, Ben (who took my blood) is awesome, painless and quick! So glad to have finally found a doctor for me and my whole family!
Established patient here. I had a workplace accommodation form and spoke to a nurse prior to dropping it off - no mention of a $25 cost. Dropped it off in person, again, NO mention of a $25 cost. After picking it up they were ready to collect and I explained if I knew of the cost, I would have acted accordingly and brought the form to my next visit. I understand policies but how many seconds does it take to inform your patients of a charge? Dr. Cox was a foot away from the nurse I was explaining this issue to and did not care to intervene. It gave me the impression that as a patient my time is not valued and my voice was dismissed. I’m disappointed with this place.
Dr. Russell is phenomenal, but I am about to switch practices just due to their staff and billing. Refill prescriptions are never completed unless I call the doctor's office (all other prescriptions are refilled at the same pharmacy without a problem involving other practices/specialties). I am charged for a refill each time it is refilled and they say it is standard, but I have talked with others on the same meds and they are never charged by their doctors. The staff is always less than friendly at the front and the prescription staff is less than reliable. It is tough to find good doctors that you like, but than you are forced to leave due to their practices and staff.
I never thought I'd make a decision to change my PCP based on the front desk and billing staff, yet now I feel it necessary. My doctor there is phenomenal, so it feels wrong to leave based on staff that have very little interaction with patients. However, the rudeness and incompetence of the other staff has made it that I never wish to go back there again. If you expect to be seen by your doctor, make sure to call billing after each visit. They will say they've sent bills to your address, but in the years I've gone here I've NEVER received a bill. I do however end up receiving snide comments how I will not be seen unless I pay my bill. Which I would do sooner...if a bill was ever actually sent to me. I have made sure to verify my address each time the staff has told me I have an amount due (and there's a cool thing called mail forwarding that I sign up for everytime.) Because as somebody who does their job, but at a higher level of care, I know the importance of taking care of my bills. You can have your staffs back on the internet, but that doesn't change the way they have behaved in real life.
Ladies in the front office are rude and unfriendly. We have been established patients for years and finally able to acquire insurance. Now the front office and Cindy from billing state they do not take United Healthcare (government insurance) and will it see me to get a referral for a OBGYN as I am newly pregnant. Not to mention, any prescriptions we need refilled between our quarterly visits, we get are charged $5 for each time I need a refill. It’s really disappointing to have established a relationship with my primary care doctor and it appears the office doesn’t care about the patients if they are insured through Healthcare.gov We will be looking for a new doctor and making everyone aware of the unfriendliness of these people in this office. Which is really sad bc we LIVE Dr. Russell and Dr. Rahman. It’s a shame their office employees don’t value their patients like the actual doctors do.
