For anyone considering booking here, I would strongly recommend reconsidering, especially if you value your time and expect timely communication from your healthcare provider. I had a very disappointing experience with Family Medicine Austin Leander during my appointment with Dr. Veena Reddy. My first visit lasted only about 7 minutes, after an estimated wait time of nearly 30 minutes, even though the appointment had been scheduled a week in advance. During that visit, I was asked to complete a few tests and then schedule a follow-up telehealth consultation to discuss the results. For the telehealth appointment, I was scheduled for 12:30 PM and was asked to join the virtual waiting room by 12:15 PM. I joined on time and waited until approximately 1:30 PM, but the doctor never joined the call. When I contacted the office, on hold for another 13 mins and I was simply told that the doctor was busy and that they did not know when she would be available. I was asked to continue waiting, with no clear update. I understand that medical offices can run behind, and emergencies may happen. However, patient time should also be respected. A basic update, apology, would have made a big difference. Instead, I felt ignored after paying for visits and making time for the appointments. I hope the clinic improves its communication and scheduling process so that patients are not left waiting without clarity.
