I’ve been seeing Dr.Marin since October of 2023. He’s amazing at listening to my health issues and providing great care based on my health needs. The front office is great they’re attentive and proactive in getting my appointments set and prescriptions sent in a timely manner. This office is always busy for a reason and it’s because they provide stellar service.
Dr. Maldonado is truly amazing - as a person and as a doctor. If you are looking for a general physician look no further than Dr. Maldonado. He personally takes an interest in his patients and remembers details about them. He has an excellent bedside manner predicated on healing you and educating you about whatever illness and symptoms you may have. The entire staff is kind which is really surprising to read some of the reviews on here. Keep in mind that they deal with many patients, often not in the best of moods because they're sick. We are all human and have off days. Personally this wouldn't be a consideration in terms of whether I want to receive care from the doctor. Give them another chance everyone is very sweet. Dr. Maldonado knows what he is doing and at the end of the day that matters the most. He’s my doctor for life. He’s also bilingual and studied at a top school (University of Texas Medical Branch School of Medicine) so know that you are in good hands. I highly recommend Dr. Maldonado and Midtown Family Medicine without reservation.
Dr. Marin is great but it's impossible to get the front desk to answer the phones. And if you're actually sick (nasal congestion, headache, ears stopped up with 99 fever), don't expect to SEE the doctor. They will offer only a "telephone" visit (not even video).±
Dr Maldonado is the best. However, the front staff is terrible. They rarely pick up the phone and never return messages. It takes multiple phone calls just to schedule an appointment. Updating my review after my most recent experience. I’ve called their office over 20 times in the past week and NO ANSWER! I’ve been with Maldonado for over 10 years but I think it’s time for a change, either their from office staff or me.
