It’s been a few months since this occurred but I felt I had to say something. I normally see Dr. Smothers who is absolutely fantastic. For some reason I was booked with Dr Melanie Reed this past summer. She made a very micro aggressive comment that rubbed me the wrong way. She saw I had a lanyard on for a very well known bank , and proceeded to say “You must work in the front end”. Unprovoked. What made you assume that ? As a woman of color I am highly offended. If the office staff read this kindly never place me with her again.
I absolutely LOVE Dr. Reed but I’m leaving her as a patient after this year. She’s always booked up sick visits and annual visits. Talked to the Office Manager Leslie which was a complete waste of time because she pretty much brushed my concern off about not ever being able to see Doctor Reed stating she’s a very good and popular doctor so therefore she’s going to be booked up and too book ahead of time or get worked in. This is not how doctors offices should work and it’s runs off long term consistent patients.
