This was my 3rd time coming here this year. Ever since they moved to this new location staff has been different. Not really friendly. Working in the medical field myself I had grace for them the first two times I went to an appointment but then today I had the unfortunate luck of being checked in by David who was just incredibly unkind. I went a week ago and paid a $20 copay and no one mentioned I had a deductible beyond that. Then today David told me I did and that I should have known that because I should have read my benefits papers closely. I explained to him that I had, that I had been twice before and was never told this and even tried to show him my insurance card to show him my plan. He didn’t even want to look at it, told me it’s not his fault my plan changed and was just void of any sympathy. Tried to explain my plan hadn’t changed and that I felt there was an error somewhere. David made it clear I was not welcome so I calmly just asked him to cancel my appointment and left unseen. Will not return to this facility again. Really disappointed. Used to love Texas Health.

What a fantastic office! I went in for the first time today and everyone was so friendly. Check in was easy. Jeanette was so friendly and really helped out me at ease (I get a little nervous at doctors’ offices!). Dr Barzin was fantastic: I did not have to wait long and she was through without wasting my time. I did not feel rushed and she listened to all of my concerns and addressed them adequately. I wish I got the name of the woman who drew my blood because she was amazing as well! I have difficult veins (which she did not disagree with) but she was able to draw blood on the first poke and I barely felt it. I also love the ease of using the My Chart online portal to make appointments and update anything as needed.
The new location is gorgeous and was very inviting. The TXHR team was great! From Katherine, Janette and to the wonderful Dr. Melissa. It was a really great experience. They are very welcoming and make you feel super comfortable while they’re doing their job.
They are kind and attentive to parents, as well as the children. They listen to concerns and meet your child where they are at communication wise. They didn’t gaslight or argue, seems like they understand a mother’s intuition. The front desk staff are prompt and respectful, the nurses are well spoken and kind, and Dr Barzin was amazing with my special needs kiddo. Highly recommend!
The whole team is wonderful, but Luz at the front desk is hands down an angel! She is so incredible! She is always, always so kind, always makes me feel right at home, and always finds a way to help. She consistently goes above and beyond, doing everything in her power to ensure we get the best care possible.
