We've been patients here for about a year as a whole family, and unfortunately our experience has been consistently disappointing. Yesterday I brought my son in because I was concerned about a tick bite followed by hives. The office felt it was important enough to have us come in for an appointment, yet the provider never actually examined him or even looked at the bite. She only glanced at the photos I had taken and said it was hives. I already knew he had hives- that wasn't my concern. He's had hives many times before, but this episode was behaving very differently, which is why I wanted him evaluated in person. I expected at least a physical exam or a quick check of the bite, but that never happened. For myself, it also took five months to get in for a routine wellness visit, which was very frustrating. The only reason I'm giving two stars instead of one is because my own practitioner, Riley, has always been kind and pleasant. Overall, the office feels unwelcoming. The staff have come across as cold, and we've never felt genuinely cared for during our visits. We're now looking for a different family practice where providers take the time to examine patients, listen to concerns, and make families feel cared for.

The local perspective.
I scheduled time off of work for my appointment, and when I got there, I found out they had moved to bee caves. I drove there and was of course too late to make the appointment. This failure of communication is really uncool honestly. I arrived to my appointment on time to where my appointments are, then walked up to this notice on the door. I’m sure they will try to respond that they “emailed and sent app communication”, but this is not accurate. 1. I never received an email saying they moved 2. I finally found one Healow app message where the subject line was “Reminder”, and it wasn’t sent until 6AM the MORNING OF the actual appointment - i.e., a few hours before I had to actually be there. This literally left me zero time to plan for the extra drive time, even if I HAD seen it. Also the wording - I was never alerted in the first place, so the word “reminder” is pretty obviously going to get missed if it’s mixed in with the barrage of appointment reminders. 3. The Google Maps location was still live on this day (April 16) and not marked as closed. I mean, are they even trying to alert people? Oh, and if anything urgent (like this) ever happens, don’t expect to be able to call them. They ONLY answer the phone for first appointments. All other extensions lead to a fake voicemail. They never inform you of this, you have to figure it out on your own. They ONLY talk to you in the app (unless they call you - they can reach you but you can’t reach them). So because of this I sent an app message to them and had no choice but to drive across town to this Bee Caves location, hoping to still make my appointment. When I got there it was of course too late. If I had been able to call them, they could have told me not to come. Am I in the wrong for not wanting my time wasted? I really do like the PA I had been seeing there and would honestly like to continue seeing her. But now I have to decide if it’s worth it or not.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. Front desk staff was rude and seemed annoyed if you asked questions. They charge a $80 new patient fee then also run your insurance for the appointment. Doctor was 20 mins late for appointment, but if patient is late they are charged a fee. No communication or apology about being behind. I went in for hormone treatment and she spent less than 10 mins with me. Once she couldn’t convince me to join as a primary care membership, she didn’t bother helping. Told me to get bloodwork and come back in 8 weeks. Such a disappointment. No one even bothered to get me rescheduled.
I used to love this clinic. But the reception employees are always so rude. I was turned away for an appointment they made for me when I was sick. It caused me so much extra time and money. Now they are billing me for money when I haven’t been there at all. My account went from owning $15 to $76 magically. And no one response as to why they are adding charges. Something changed here and it’s not good. If you live South, Victory medical is so much better.
I have not had a doctor since my doctor retired and have been at sea for the last few years - until I discovered Jessica at Wiseman Family Practice. She came highly recommended from friends, and I am beyond thrilled and grateful to be working with her. She's so knowledgable, measured, compassionate, insightful, patient and caring. She has revolutionized the way I look at my health and my healthcare and I am so, so appreciative.
