I’ve been a patient of Dr. Serrano’s for the past 4–5 years, and overall she has been a phenomenal physician. She is attentive, listens carefully, and never makes you feel rushed during appointments. Those qualities are the reason I’ve continued to trust her with my care for so many years. Today’s experience, however, was very disappointing.Before my appointment, I called the office to let them know I had an unexpected flat tire and was doing everything I could to get there. I was told there was a 15 minute grace period. I arrived at exactly the 15 minute mark, but Dr. Serrano declined to see me. I completely understand that physicians have schedules to maintain, and I respect that her time is just as valuable as her patients’ time. In fact, throughout the years I’ve always made it a point to arrive early for my appointments. I’ve never been late, and I’ve never complained when appointments have run behind because I understand that medical care can be unpredictable. What made this situation especially frustrating was that the next available appointment wasn’t until October, and I wasn’t able to see another provider in the practice. After years of being a punctual and respectful patient, I had hoped there would have been a little more flexibility or consideration for an unavoidable circumstance. I still believe Dr. Serrano is an excellent doctor, which is why this experience was so disappointing. My hope is that the office can find a better balance between enforcing policies and recognizing the loyalty of long term patients when unexpected emergencies arise.

Her office is closer to my house and I would love to continue being her patient. Unfortunately, I had a disturbing encounter with her receptionist, Mary. She was unprofessional and rude to me. She gave me another patient’s receipt. After I informed her of the receipt since my payment was different than what was on the receipt, she gave me. She snatched the paper out of my hand and told me that wasn’t mine. I Inform Mary, how rude her demeanor was towards me and her reply to me was “That’s Fine” Other staff that I came encounter with was very nice and professional, and I appreciate that
Very knowledgable, attentive & very personable. I’ve really enjoyed being Dr Serrano’s patient. I feel heard & cared for. I was most impressed with Dr. Serrano when I officially chose her as my PCP. She reviewed my entire chart & discussed previous visits & discussed to see where I stood w/previous issues I’d had on those visits. To conclude she also reviewed my entire bloodwork history. Dr. Serrano notice fluctuation of certain tests & referred me to a Hematologist to have it looked at a little closer. My Hematologist ran tests to find a rare gene mutation in my blood, but because of Dr Serrano’s thorough review of my chart, I am ahead of the game. I’m able to prevent this gene mutation from progressing. I feel very fortunate & I am forever indebted to Dr. Serrano.
Very friendly staff. Hardly any wait time. Dr Serrano makes you feel comfortable. She is thorough and patient. I enjoyed interacting with her. Her knowledge is impressive. She caught things that other doctors had not. I highly recommend her expertise.
I appreciate how Dr. Serrano took the time to review my medical history, and how kind she was. She was very thorough! I look forward to being her patient for a long time. I believe I should hear from Dr. O’Neill’s office soon for an appointment.
