I had an appointment yesterday for a biliary drain exchange and blood work. Everyone was respectful and kind. The facility is very clean and ran well. The procedure was a breeze and they made sure I was comfortable. I would highly recommend going here. I also speak a bit about my experiences with md Anderson on my YouTube channel trucking with ole snapper look for videos with Md Anderson in the title or cancer journey. Hope this helps any of you who are thinking of going here.
During a very difficult time individuals have which brings them to this building, they have done a great job in ensuring comfortability. There is ample seating and the seats are nice. Everyone here is friendly. There are 4 floors, a gift shop and a market place.
This organization is very impressed with its name but fails to deliver on actual treatment. I’ve experienced delayed treatment, doctors who you’ve seen for months that seem to know nothing about your treatment when you meet with them, blatant ignorance of current basic medical practices for the specific condition treated (available via good old google and the NIH) in addition to harassment, bullying and discrimination. Run far, far away.
We have had nothing but a 5-Star experience thus far. All doctors and staff have been wonderful. The only issue was pain management and they require in person visits and we live 2.5 hours away 1 direction. If you are comfortable with technology like Apps and can access a smart phone or a computer with internet EVERYTHING is connected to MyChart. You can contact your various care teams and advocates through the MyChart portal. It's all neatly organized in one central location. Another thing I have discovered over the past few years of dealing with health challenges...YOU need to know your insurance better than the finance people! There should not be any surprises if you know and understand your insurance. I also think people need to have realistic expectations. Some people this is their Hail Mary and others like us started the journey here after being diagnosed locally. I don't expect a miracle for his stage iv we just want the best care to give him a fighting chance. I would recommend any one who can start with a consult and go from there. We have had nothing but an excellent experience so far.

I want to address the unprofessionalalism of your staff towards friends and families picking up patients that undergo a procedure. I am appalled at staff yelling my first name more than once. Have some respect! I am not your friend ! I am a visitor and most of us there picking up loved ones were senior citizens. What about adding Ms or Mr.to our names! Your staff needs to have classes on professionalism and cultural differences! I suggest that you get visitors and friends last name and address them by that. The nurses by the bedside were very courteous and professional!
