I had an active Strep infection in an Abscess on my back over the last few weeks. I had felt like I had a fever and an irritated throat which I had communicated with the medical assistant. I was concerned I might have strep throat. I was required to wear a mask. Which I feel was a bit extreme. My previous doctor no longer required masking of patients though doctors and staff might choose to wear them -- He had told me early on in CoVid that the holes in the surgical mask were too big to stop virus particles from being transmitted. Even Dr. Fauci has documented that the masking did not effectively stop transmission. I was swabbed and tested negative for Strep -- which was my concern. Dr. Kulik pushed to test for COVID. I had CoVid in 2021, and did not vaccinate. We have discussed this since I began seeing her that I will not vaccinate due to concerns I have about vaccine injury. I research and seek to avoid medications that are not necessary because I know my immune system is designed to fight off viruses. i told her I was not worried about CoVid, it is a virus and my history with it demonstrates that my immune system does its job. I also shared that the long term antibodies were evident in me after the infection, and she abruptly said that lasts about six months. But, I would antibody test after having CoVid and if I had been exposed and the tests found that I had active long term immunity at 9 months and a year. I felt she did not listen to me. She wanted to test me so she could prescribe a medication if I had it. My immune system does its job. This is the first real concern I have with the care I am provided. Now 6 years after CoVid the reality of acting like this is still a pandemic when it is not is actually very concerning to me. I understand if immunocompromised people feel the need to mask or even if staff at the clinic choose to do so. But requiring a patient to mask against their own better judgement is a bridge too far for me. Masking says I do not trust my immune system and denies the actual science around why it was introduced in clinical rather than sterile settings. I understand masking in sterile settings. It is a standard. But even in sterile settings like surgical suites they have not traditionally masked the patient. I believe the standard of care in this regard is less that excellent and should be reevaluated. I appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback.

They are very thorough and make me feel comfortable and take great care of me. I am contacted immediately regarding any test results. I highly recommend this practice.
I have been seeing Dr. Kwaw for a number of years and I really like him. He is an excellent physician and extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Everyone at the front desk is always friendly and they are organized so there is never a long wait. Its easy to reach out and get fast responses from either Dr. Kwaw or the nurses by calling or using the app. I definitely recommend Dr. Kwaw and Texas Health Family Care.
