I liked Dr. Mackin as my son’s doctor. She seemed good with kids and observant. She diagnosed my son with ADHD by carefully listening to everything I shared, even though I wasn’t aware of all the signs I was mentioning. Additionally, she was efficient in providing his school with all the necessary information to be put on a 504 plan. My biggest complaint, however, is the wait time and delayed/lack of response through the portal or calls. No matter how early we arrive, check in, and get called back, we always end up waiting at least an hour in the exam room. It’s challenging for an adult to wait that long, imagine a kid…with ADHD. When she finally makes it to the room, I see why her appts are so long. She talks a lot and prolongs the conversation beyond what’s necessary. Our last appt I’d had enough after waiting over an hour & told them to reschedule us for a virtual appt. She was late for that as well. She finally prescribed my son the meds he needs and after 2 weeks of sending her the form for them to administer it at school, nothing. I sent it through the portal, called and left messages. It was eventually confirmed that it was received & I still waited. I popped up and literally waited until the desk clerk had her sign it. Something that could’ve been done in 5 mins the day it was received. This doctor’s office is poorly ran. It’s time to search for a new doctor.

Avoid taking your kids here unless you enjoy having your messages ignored and your calls go unreturned. Dr. Mackin was fine for our kids, but we are moving to a different pediatrician due to horrendous treatment we've received from her nurses and front office. After one appointment, my wife asked Dr. Mackin about a pediatric dermatologist. Dr. Mackin said she'd have her staff send us two recommendations. After weeks of waiting, my wife messaged the staff on the portal. Two weeks later we got a response that just said "you should contact your insurance company." We started receiving emails about it being time for the flu shots. I used the portal and messaged the team and asked about both flu and Covid boosters. No response. Two weeks later, I send another message. No response. I call and leave a voicemail (they NEVER pick up the phone). Days go by, no response. I call again and leave another voicemail. No response. One more portal message, no response. Finally, a month later, I get a portal response that just says "yeah we don't offer that, but check out this website for help." If you look at all the other reviews on here, you'll see the same commentary. Bottom line, it's a poorly run practice no matter how good the pediatrician might be. It's impossible to get in contact with anyone, the nurses and staff are rude, and they ignore your messages for weeks. Don't take your kids here - find another pediatrician that has a staff who will actually treat you with some level of decency and respect.
I felt inclined to leave this review for the office. I was a patient here for several years and really liked Dr. Mackin. The last time I went however I waited and waited and waited and then got attitude from her because I needed to leave. Sorry, very unprofessional. Don’t even get me started on the practice administration. Horrendous. It’s really a shame because I think with some guidance, the office could get it turned around. I have since found a new PCP!
We just saw Valerie M. for the first time and we were very impressed. She spent a great amount of time on a wellness check for my senior mom and was incredibly caring and attentive to her. She listened to our concerns and gave us great information/feedback. The nurse tech who helped us was also very friendly and kind, and got us in a little early. 😊 Would definitely recommend going to see Valerie!
I am extremely frustrated with the lack of professionalism and service. No one ever answers the phone, and even when you leave voicemails and messages in the portal they refuse to return your calls. I have never been so disappointed and irritated with any business in my life! This office couldn't care less about their patients. They are inconsistent, unreliable, and inaccessible. I would not recommend this office.
