Terribly ran office... Office manager Illeana doesn't know how to run an efficient professional office. Twice now I've been called and told my appointments have been canceled. How hard is it to stick to a schedule? I have had an appointment scheduled for a year now. I let it slide rescheduling once but then to get a call on a Friday canceling my appointment for the following Monday, after I already called in a verified that morning, is super unprofessional. Dr. Kumar is a great Dr, but the staff and office workers obviously don't know how to manage a simple schedule. They obviously don't care about their patients. I've had to rework my schedule twice now to accommodate their inadequacies. I was told that's the best they can do. Obviously the best they have to offer is bottom of the barrel management.

BAD FIRST IMPRESSION. My wife and I made an appointment to see Dr. Shaw 2 months ago. On the day of the appointment we got a call from his office at 8:00am verifying our appointment. At 10:00am we got a call that he would not be in the office. If this is the way that his patients are treated then my pregnant wife and I certainly don't want to be among them. Time taken off from work with a cancelation a few hours beforehand is not acceptable and not professional. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS DOCTOR.
While I have nothing at all bad to say about the level of care and professionalism of the doctors who care for their patients, calling this place for ANY reason is as absolute nightmare. Whether you need to schedule, have a question about your appointment or your prescription or refill, you are forced to listen to the same recording over and over, then at times it will appear as though you are being transferred, only to have to listen to the same recording again. Before you speak with someone you can expect to listen to this recording 15-25 times. Then eventually the call will hang up, and you will need to call back. You will have to go through this cycle at least twice before actually getting in contact with some one. It is absolutely unacceptable for a doctor’s office.
I'm not exactly sure what has happened to this practice. I love Dr. Kumar and have had a great experience with her in the past but now it is impossible to get through for an appointment. They absolutely do not answer their phones and there are no additional methods of contacting them. They were supposed to call me to schedule a follow-up to make sure my depression and axiety medication was working so I could get a long-time refill. I never received a call. I've called repeatedly (as I did when I setup the initial appointment) and get the voice service telling me operators are busy. You go round and round through the system until it disconnects you. I have 2 days left on my medication and no way to get ahold of my doctor. Disappointing and upsetting - not to mention running out of anxiety/depression medication is not an ideal situation.
Dr. Richmond and PA Bryla are great! Wait time is also minimal, always seen on time. However, good luck getting through to anyone over the phone. It's frustrating that it is difficult to get a hold of anyone over the phone. The line keeps rolling over to a recording, "thank you for calling WellMed at..." then after a few times of hearing that message it automatically hangs up. I'm going on calling back for the 4th time! They called me to cancel an upcoming appointment! Very dysfunctional!
