If I’m being completely honest, my recent experiences haven’t been as positive as I had hoped. I’ve been a patient here for about three years and have had a couple of physicals along with a few other visits. My first appointment with Dr. Sanjana went very well and left me with high expectations for future care. In my follow up visits, I was scheduled with Christin Solis, NP. During my first visit with her, I felt a bit unsure when I was asked what remedies I knew of for my issue. I completely understand wanting patient input, but I was also hoping for more guidance and direction. At times, I didn’t feel fully heard or that my concerns were being thoroughly addressed. I decided to give it another try and recently scheduled an appointment for bloodwork and to discuss some additional concerns. I’ll admit I had some hesitation, but the convenience of same-day labs was a big factor. I had mentioned to the receptionist that I needed bloodwork and was scheduled for 3:15, which I appreciated, though I was a bit concerned knowing the lab closed at 4:00. I wasn’t brought back until around 3:40, and by the time I spoke with the medical assistant and then saw Ms. Solis, I felt a bit rushed trying to explain everything before the lab closed. I completely understand how busy medical offices can be, and I truly appreciate the workload and pace. However, during that time, I didn’t feel like I was able to fully communicate my concerns. For example, while explaining my timeline, I gave a specific date and had to repeat it three times because it was misheard or repeated back incorrectly, which made me feel a bit flustered and unsure if I was being fully understood. After completing my labs, I waited for additional results. When Ms. Solis returned, the door was open, which made the conversation feel less private than I would have preferred. I was then asked to schedule a follow-up appointment to review my lab results, but I left feeling unsure about next steps or what possibilities might be considered depending on the outcome. I understand that as a patient, I can always ask questions, and I try to do so. However, there have been times where I’ve felt hesitant, especially when I don’t feel fully heard. I also have some health-related anxiety, so clear communication and reassurance mean a lot to me. I really value guidance from my provider so I don’t feel like I need to rely on my own research after appointments. I want to emphasize that I have a lot of respect for the staff and understand how demanding and fast paced a medical office can be. While I personally will no longer attend this location, my intention in sharing this is simply to provide feedback in hopes of improving communication and the overall patient experience.

I cannot say enough positive things about my NP Alexa. She always takes the time to truly listen, never rushes me, and makes sure I fully understand my care annd treatment options. I feel respected, heard, and genuinely cared for every time I see her. Providers like her make a huge difference in patient confidence and overall health. She is an incredible asset to this practice, and I always leave appointments feeling informed and supported. It’s rare to find a provider who shows this level of compassion and commitment to patient care. Thank you for all you do.

I absolutely love Hector Sosa and saw him for years. but whoever does their billing is soooo incredibly shady. I kept getting bills, even though I pay at every visit. When I would look into it, it doesn’t make sense. I missed an appt and was charged a no-show fee (which is fair) but when I paid it, my visit for that day suddenly went up the amount of the no-show fee. Often when I make a payment for something, the money for that goes to something else. If you look at the payment history on my account, it is all over the place. I have called so many times to correct this and it’s useless. Someone finally looked into it, but all they did was move the money around so I’d have one big bill due instead of multiple little ones. I have payments in 2024 that show they’re going towards for invoices all the way into 2026. And there are payments I’ve made that there’s no record of, like in Feb 2025 which is now the bill I owe for. It makes absolutely no sense. And their prices are getting ridiculous. I have a family member that goes here too, and she’s always telling me about fraudulent charges happening with the insurance - like charging specialty prices when this is not a specialty office and of course, Insurance denies because of that, so she owes it. Most of the medical staff here is great, but the billing, is completely opposite. And it seems every time I try to talk to someone at the front office about it, they can’t help and it has to be handled by the manager who is absolutely useless and seems to not know what she’s doing. I’ve seen Sanjana a couple times too and he seemed okay, but from my understanding, he’s the one pushing his office in this direction. This office is leaning way more towards profit than patient care, and it shows. I rate Sosa 5 stars and wish I could rate him independently from the rest of the office. He’s the only reason I did not give them a one star. There are a lot of good practices out there and the headache with billing at this one is just not worth it anymore.

Everyone was super nice. Every NP and PA was wonderful and so was Dr. I got in and out fast and was really professional! Easy parking. NP and PA’s are great and same as seeing a doctor- they work hand in hand fyi. Also the front desk and lab was friendly and helpful.

I do not recommend Hector Sosa, FNP, at this Family Medicine practice in San Antonio, TX. My sister initially came in for a physical and later had a follow-up appointment with Mr. Sosa. During that visit, he informed her that she had a fatty liver diagnosis. She became very emotional and was crying in his office. According to my sister, his response was to tell her, “You did this to yourself.” Regardless of the diagnosis, healthcare providers should deliver difficult news with compassion, empathy, and professionalism. Patients deserve to feel supported, especially when receiving upsetting medical information. The lack of empathy shown during this interaction was deeply disappointing and upsetting for our family. Based on this experience, I would not recommend this provider to others.If I can give 0 stars I would.
