The staff is very pleasant to work with and proficient in their responsibilities so none of my time was spent just sitting around waiting. I really appreciate this. The medical staff was excellent. They took time to explain to me what they are doing and why on a very down to earth way I can understand. I feel safe and cared for even after just one visit. I’ve been going to this practice for nearly two years now and have had great care. Initially with Ms. Chrisos, NP and now, Ms. Bennett, NP. Ms. Bennett was very thorough, highly knowledgeable, attentive, and personable. After our first visit this week, on the same day, my coworker booked an appointment with her after hearing of my experience. I would give a 5-star rating if it weren’t for the wait time.. (not in reference to Ms. Bennett) but there certainly was a significant lag in between seeing the NPs and the other nurses in this and my last visit—to the point where I walked out the room to ascertain if they forgot I was in the room… However, I’ve continued to receive great care at this location. Thank you, all.

I find that NP Chrisos to be the best for me. Clearly well educated and experienced. Will listen to you about anything and present possibilities and her view, then we’ll usually agree what comes next or needs changed. Always testing blood and urine to get readings on everything before the next visit a week later. I’m feeling healthier the last few months under her guidance, and that’s why I’m going there! I’m satisfied that as a 69 yo man I’ve got good guidance and oversight. Thx you NP Chrisos! C L H

I’ve been a patient at Castle Hills Family Practice for two years, and my experience has consistently been disappointing. My appointments routinely ran 45 minutes to over an hour behind my scheduled appointment time, and the practitioner I saw both years never took time to understand my background or discuss my concerns. Instead, they relied almost entirely on my chart and basic measurements before ordering tests—tests that were never explained and I often felt unnecessary. Over time, it seemed less like they were providing thoughtful medical care and more like they were maximizing billable services. Frequently making diagnosis prior to any medical exam or test results. Because of this pattern, I’ve decided to leave the practice and seek a physician who values communication, partnership, and patient-centered care.

I have been a patient at Castle Hills Family Medicine in Stone Oak for a few years now and I want to start by saying that my experiences with A. Chrisos, NP, as well as the front desk ladies, medical assistants, nurses, and lab staff, have always been excellent. They are consistently kind, professional, and welcoming. Chrisos in particular is outstanding and I always recommend her to friends. She listens, takes concerns seriously, and makes patients feel comfortable and respected. I truly recommend her. Unfortunately, this morning I had an appointment where I was seen by JENNIFER RODRIGUEZ instead. I understand that schedules change and that happens, so I did not think it would be an issue. However, the experience was very uncomfortable. I was there for a follow-up appointment and asked about a specific test I felt would be appropriate for my situation. Instead of discussing it openly or considering all my options, the provider seemed dismissive and tried to talk me out of what I was asking for. She even suggested I go to a different clinic. Not wanting to waste her time or mine I asked if it was something I couldn’t do there for her to let me know, and I would go somewhere else. (Like she suggested) This was already a sensitive and vulnerable type of appointment, so feeling dismissed made the situation even more uncomfortable. What concerned me the most was that when the she left the room, I could clearly hear her complain about me to staff outside the door and saying that I was “pissed” and asking for something I couldn’t do and that the Lab techs weren’t even there yet. I wasn’t rude or upset, much less “pissed” I had been calm and respectful during the entire conversation. Hearing a provider speak about a patient that way, within earshot, felt extremely unprofessional. I can understand if I was being rude or if she had, had a long day but it’s 8:30 am!? At that point I chose to walk out and leave the appointment. No one would choose to stay in a facility where the provider clearly has no intention of helping them. The staff was extremely apologetic and referred me to Sosa at the NW Military location. I was seen immediately and low and behold, didn’t have to go to a “different doctor”. Healthcare visits can already feel vulnerable, especially when discussing personal health concerns. Patients deserve to feel heard, respected, and treated professionally. I will continue to see Chrisos and recommend her highly, but I hope the clinic addresses situations like this so patients do not have similar experiences in the future.
