Unfortunately, my experiences with the front desk have consistently been frustrating. I recently had lab work scheduled for 8:10 a.m. I checked in on time and waited about 35 minutes while multiple patients who arrived after me were called back before I was. When I asked about it, Karla at the front desk said she would check, but it felt as though I may not have even been properly checked in or on the schedule. The entire process resulted in an unnecessary 45-minute wait. In addition, conversations regarding personal information such as insurance details and date of birth often feel less private than they should. The front desk area can be quite loud, which isn’t always comfortable when discussing sensitive information. This isn’t an isolated experience. The front office often seems disorganized, and calling to make an appointment can be difficult. It’s common to be placed on hold only for the call to disconnect. I genuinely appreciate the medical staff and the care they provide, but I hope management addresses the organization, communication, and customer service at the front desk, as it significantly impacts the overall patient experience.
PA Wilson is considerate, knowledgable, and a good listener when one is describing symptoms. She follows through quickly with her recommendations and referrals. PA Wilson is caring, most competent , and an asset to SA Family Physicians. The office support staff are friendly and welcoming. They are most helpful when one is making appointments. The nurse assistant, Pamela, is cheerful and kind. The Lab techs are gentle when drawing blood and explain clearly the procedure being done. In short, I am confident my health care is in good hands.
I've been a patient of Dr Berstein for several years, almost a decade. He's been very straight forward and to the point, which i appreciate. Last few visits have been check ups that I didn't feel warranted the Dr's attention. The PAs have been very knowledgeable and professionalism is top shelf. New facility is well equipped and spacious. Great place to keep yourself healthy.
