I had a 2:00pm appointment and arrived before the 15-minute grace period as instructed in their own confirmation text. Despite this, the front desk refused to check me in. No explanation, no attempt to accommodate, nothing. As a new patient trying to establish care, this experience was completely unacceptable. The confirmation message explicitly says to arrive 15 minutes early, I did exactly that and was still turned away. I hope management addresses how front desk staff handles patients, because this reflects poorly on what is supposed to be a reputable system.

The local perspective.
Dr Owen McCormick has been my primary care physician for about 5 years and will be for a long time. He and the staff are very professional, empathetic and accommodating…it’s like seeing your neighborhood Dr used to be. I highly recommend this group! The location is centrally convenient and the office is less than a year old so everything is new and as you would expect!!
Patients are not just time slots, they are people seeking care. I am extremely frustrated with my experience at Houston Methodist. For the past two years, I have been trying to establish care with a primary physician. As a new patient seeking a female provider, my options are already limited, and appointments are often scheduled months in advance. Unfortunately, my appointments have been canceled three separate times, each just days before I was supposed to be seen. My most recent attempt was at the Heights location. I made a significant effort to attend this one—leaving work early and sitting in heavy traffic for over 30 minutes. Upon arrival, I encountered additional delays due to ongoing construction and elevator issues in the building. I arrived at 3:30 PM for a 3:15 PM appointment and was immediately told I had already been marked as a no-show. I fully acknowledge that I was late; however, what was most disappointing was the complete lack of flexibility and empathy. I politely asked if someone could check with the physician to see if I could still be seen, especially since this visit was simply to establish care. I was told that staff were not allowed to communicate with the physician, and there was nothing that could be done. Considering I had already completed all paperwork and paid my co-pay, it was incredibly frustrating to be turned away without any attempt to accommodate or assist. While I understand the importance of schedules, there should be room for reasonable discretion—especially when patients are making a genuine effort to receive care. This experience highlights serious concerns with both customer service and internal policies. After multiple cancellations and this most recent interaction, I am deeply disappointed and will not be returning.
Professiinal, efficient, live human beings who answer the phone and respond promptly to messages posted on the app. Dr Sison took her time and answered all my questions. The nurse who did the prelim visit was attentive and also not rushed. Yet I got in and out quickly. Front desk was polite and almost zero wait time.
Easily the worst experience going to doctor’s would avoid at all costs unless you have NO other option. Called to make an appointment with a doctor I’ve been seeing at another clinic who was recently transferred here. When making the appointment J was asked if I could see another doctor for my first visit and then be transferred over to the doctor I was calling for on my next visit. It is not until i’m at the office (checked in and waiting for to be called) to then be told that if I continue with the visit I would not be able to see another doctor as I must stick to the one doctor i start treatment with. Only place i’ve been to that has such policy. Okay wherever, I make another appointment so that I can come back to see my doctor. Fast forward to the next visit to where I arrive within the their 15 minutes “grace period” (I had already confirmed through text message that I was coming to the visit 2 hours before getting here) to where i’m told that I arrived too late even though i was still within the 15 minutes “grace period.” Both times Jessica the front lady seemed to literally not care whatever so ever and very unwilling to help. Terrible care. Would give 0 stars if I could
