Dr. Gu is a very responsible and caring physician. Both of my parents are her patients, and they truly appreciate her professional attitude, patience, and medical expertise. She is always thorough, attentive, and takes the time to explain things clearly. My parents feel very comfortable and confident under her care. We are very grateful to have such a dedicated doctor.
Dr. Gu is a complete fraud. In early 2025, my father developed widespread red rashes on both legs that looked like a skin condition. Dr. Gu ordered blood tests and then told us there was nothing wrong, saying it was not a disease and would heal on its own, and that no medication was needed. We trusted her and went home, but his condition only became worse. Two months later, we made another appointment for a follow-up. When we mentioned that she had previously said it would heal on its own, she completely denied ever saying that. She then became very agitated, said she would no longer treat patients like us, and told us to leave immediately. I have never seen a doctor like this. Throughout the visit, she was extremely impatient even though we were simply explaining the symptoms. What’s even more ridiculous is that we later realized much of her “medical knowledge” seemed to come from Google searches. It’s laughable. In reality, she appears to be nothing more than someone who refers patients to specialists. She cannot actually treat anything herself.

I was recommended to Dr. Gu by my insurance, and at first, I thought I had finally found a caring and knowledgeable doctor. Sadly, that couldn’t have been further from the truth. Dr. Gu may seem nice at first, but she quickly shows how dismissive and uninterested she is in her patients. She constantly cuts you off mid-sentence, doesn’t listen, and completely misinterprets what you’re trying to say. I came to her for help with ongoing health issues and to get documentation my workplace required. Instead of listening or showing any concern, she assumed I just wanted time off work — which was completely untrue. She prescribed the same antibiotics that clearly haven’t worked for me in the past, then told me to urgently see a specialist, making it sound like it was serious enough to miss part of my workday. Later, she turned around and told me to “go find another doctor” because she’s “not my primary care provider.” That was shocking and hurtful. I’ve only seen her twice and was planning to make her my primary care doctor since I finally have insurance again after years without. For a family practice, the lack of compassion and professionalism is unbelievable. It truly feels like she’s burned out and has stopped caring about the people she’s supposed to help. I would not recommend Dr. Gu to anyone who expects to be heard, respected, or taken seriously. Please save yourself the frustration and look elsewhere for a doctor who actually listens and treats patients like human beings. I ended up asking the specialist I saw today who actually only saw me once and filled out the information for me w/o a problem… specialist also was concerned to why I was being prescribed medication that wasn’t working for me from Dr gu… So then the specialist gave me medication that would help me better …
LOVE Dr. Gu & her staff! They’re thorough and caring and she always takes the time to come in and talk with you to see how you are doing, if you have concerns etc. been coming to her for years. She is our whole family doctor.
